Tobermory Information

Located on the beautiful island of mull, Tobermory Distillery produces both peated and unpeated whisky for Ledaig and Tobermory single malts and blends.

It utilises a somewhat short fermentation time, but it is the unusual shape of the stills which prove crucial for the Tobermory style. They include both boil bulbs and an interesting S-shaped portion in their lyne arms, increasing reflux.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Lobster creels, smoked fish and cooked apples

Flavour:

Creaminess, Portuguese tart with a touch of damp peat.

Finish:

Linseed oil, smouldering campfire.
