Caol Ila Information

An Islay distillery known for its consistency, Caol Ila is situated on the east coast of the island. One of the lighter spirits produced on Islay, it combines a slight fruitiness and hint of pepper with the expected peatiness and sea shore notes.

Its historical significance for blends meant that, until 2002. independent bottlers were vital in allowing whisky lovers to experience the Caol Ila single malt - so we are delighted to be continuing this tradition.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Faint smoke, peaches, mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Flavour:

Tangy, tomato plant, kippers and some sweetness.

Finish:

Hickory smoke, herring, tangerines, peaches, granite smoke.
