Deanston Information

Deanston is a Highland Distillery located 8 miles from Stirling.

Originally a cotton mill in the late 1700s, it wasn't transformed into a distillery until 1966, supplied with water from the nearby River Teith.

It produces a light new make, with spicy and nutty flavours most prominent. Distillery bottlings are bottled without chill filtering or caramel colouring, which is a policy Cadenhead's agrees with, as many of you will know.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Apple skins, green tomatoes, stewed fruits.

Flavour:

Malty. Rye bread, freshly baked cake.

Finish:

Long finish with sour grape candy and ice gems.
