SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AND BOOKING INFORMATION
Springbank, Kilkerran and Cadenhead’s events will take place on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th May 2023. Below, you will find all the relevant information regarding our events and tastings across the festival as well as information on how to purchase tickets.
HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS
All tickets for our events during the festival will be available via the Eventbrite ticketing website. Dates for purchasing tickets will be as follows:
Wednesday 8th February at 2pm – The Malt Barns Dinner
Wednesday 15th February at 2pm – Thursday and Friday Tastings
There will be a maximum of 2 tickets available per person for each tasting. Please note that tickets do tend to sell out quickly so we strongly recommend that you register with Eventbrite ahead of the ticket launch to make the process quicker on the day of the ticket sales.
PLEASE NOTE IN ADVANCE THERE IS A STRICT NO REFUND POLICY FOR FESTIVAL TICKETS.
THE MALT BARNS DINNER
Our dinner will take place on Wednesday 24th May at 7pm, with members of staff from Springbank, Kilkerran and Cadenhead’s present throughout to share chat and drams with.
On arrival at the Malt Barns, you will be greeted with a champagne reception accompanied by a range of locally sourced canapés.
Following this, you will sample a selection of whiskies which will be hand drawn from the cask by a member of our production team. All guests will then vote for their favourite and the most popular choice will be bottled for you to take home on the night.
You will then enjoy a four course meal with a specially selected wine to accompany each course.
There will be a set menu so please advise us of any dietary requirements you have once you have booked. This can be done by emailing [email protected].

SPRINGBANK OPEN DAY
The Springbank Open Day will begin at 10am when the sale of our special Open Day bottles will commence. In addition to the tastings listed below, there will be free distillery tours, local craft and food stalls, bars, exclusive bottlings and much more. Events at Springbank will conclude around 6:30pm.
The tastings taking place during the Springbank Open Day (excluding events that are only bookable on the day) will be available to book on Eventbrite from Wednesday 15th February at 2pm (GMT). Details of each can be found below:
11:30am: Springbank Sherry Series Tasting – £35.00
Join us for the chance to sample the in-progress Springbank sherry series. From last year’s PX release, to the future Palo Cortado, Amontillado, Fino and Manzanilla maturations, this is an opportunity to experience Springbank influenced by a diverse range of sherry and get an exclusive preview of what is to come in this five year series.
11:30am: The Art (and Science) of Malting – £35.00
Delve into the depths of Springbank production and enjoy some accompanying whiskies with our Director of Production, Findlay, and Operations Assistant, Lea.
12:45pm: Springbank Warehouse Tasting – £35.00
Sample a selection of exclusive whiskies from Springbank, hand-drawn from the cask in one of our traditional warehouses by a member of the production team.
12:45pm: Malting Demonstration – Free
(ONLY BOOKABLE ON THE DAY)
While enjoying a dram of one of our most popular whiskies, watch a member of our production team demonstrate our traditional malting process. This free event serves as an excellent opportunity to learn about Springbank production and maybe even try turning the barley yourself! Tickets are only available to book on the day so make sure you head straight for the ticket point to book and collect your tickets.
1:30pm: An Introduction to The Countdown Collection – £200.00
Celebrate Springbank’s forthcoming 200th anniversary by joining us to sample The Countdown Collection, a series of whiskies which will be released in the lead up to this milestone anniversary in 2028. You will be among the first to sample these exclusive whiskies, ranging from 25 years old upwards, which will be sold exclusively by ballot in the coming years.
1:30pm: Springbank Tasting – £35.00
(TICKETS BOOKABLE ONLINE AND ON THE DAY)
Familiar favourites, new releases and limited editions, this tasting caters to both long-standing Springbank fans and newcomers alike. A member of the Springbank Sales Team will guide you through the range of whiskies. Please note, tickets will also be available to book on the day at the distillery if you aren’t able to secure one online.
2:30pm: Longrow Red Tasting – £35.00
Join us for a tasting of some archive and new whiskies from the Longrow Red range. Launched in 2012, this series has utilised red wine casks from around the world to mature our more heavily peated whisky, and remains a firm favourite among Longrow fans.
2:45pm: Springbank Warehouse Tasting – £35.00
Sample a selection of exclusive whiskies from Springbank, hand-drawn from the cask in one of our traditional warehouses by a member of the production team.
2:45pm: Malting Demonstration – Free
(ONLY BOOKABLE ON THE DAY)
While enjoying a dram of one of our most popular whiskies, watch a member of our production team demonstrate our traditional malting process. 4:15pm: Springbank; New & Forthcoming Releases – £35.00
A taste of what’s to come from the distillery. The New & Forthcoming Tasting is a staple of the Springbank Open Day, allowing you the chance to enjoy some recent releases and sample exciting future bottlings.
4:45pm: Springbank Warehouse Tasting – £35.00
Sample a selection of exclusive whiskies from Springbank, hand-drawn from the cask in one of our traditional warehouses by a member of the production team.
PLEASE NOTE:
- The Malting Demonstrations will last for 30 minutes.
- The Springbank Warehouse Tastings will last for 45 minutes.
- All other tastings during the Springbank Open Day are scheduled for 1 hour.
- Some of the tastings will overlap so please be aware of this when making your selections.
- Tasting locations will be shared on Eventbrite when bookings commence.
- Tickets for tastings that are only bookable on the day are not available on Eventbrite and must be purchased from our ticket point at Springbank Distillery on the morning of the Open Day.

GLENGYLE AND CADENHEAD’S OPEN DAY
The Glengyle and Cadenhead’s Open Day will kick off at Glengyle Distillery from 10am when the sale of our special Kilkerran and Cadenhead’s Open Day bottles will commence. The day will feature a range of tastings which are listed below as well as free distillery tours, local craft and food stalls, a cocktail bar and the popular Cadenhead’s Lucky Dip Bar. Events at Glengyle will conclude around 6:30pm.

Enjoy six drams from our specially selected casks within one of our warehouses. All six casks will be newly launched in celebration of the Campbeltown Malts Festival. As is tradition, the six casks are kept exclusive to those who participate in our Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting and will be available to purchase at the end.
11:15am: Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting 2 – £40.00
Enjoy six drams from our specially selected casks within one of our warehouses. All six casks will be newly launched in celebration of the Campbeltown Malts Festival. As is tradition, the six casks are kept exclusive to those who participate in our Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting and will be available to purchase at the end.
12:15pm: The Big Kilkerran Tasting – £35.00
The Big Kilkerran Tasting will cover the full spectrum of what Glengyle Distillery has to offer. From core range classics to rare cask samples from the deepest recesses of our warehouse, there will be lots to taste and discuss.
2pm: The Big Cadenhead’s Tasting – £45.00
A chance to be among the first to experience unique cask samples, demonstrating the variety of distilleries and cask types from within the depths of our warehouses in Campbeltown. In addition to the five samples, there will also be the opportunity to taste an exclusive cask bottled by Cadenhead’s for the Campbeltown Malts Festival.
3:15pm: Cadenhead’s Tasting Tour of Scotland – £35.00
Join us on a journey through Scotland where we will guide you through 6 specially selected drams from the past, present and future – exploring all 5 whisky regions; Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside, Campbeltown and Islay.
3:45pm: Kilkerran Archives Tasting – £35.00
A unique opportunity to sample a range of Kilkerran from our archive, this tasting celebrates some of our earlier releases, including open day and single cask bottlings.
4pm: Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting 3 – £40.00
Enjoy six drams from our specially selected casks within one of our warehouses. All six casks will be newly launched in celebration of the Campbeltown Malts Festival. As is tradition, the six casks are kept exclusive to those who participate in our Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting and will be available to purchase at the end.

4:30pm: Kilkerran Cocktail Masterclass – £35.00
Our Washback Bar and Sales Team join forces for this Kilkerran cocktail masterclass, where you will have the chance to prepare and enjoy cocktails while hearing more about the distillery and the whiskies on offer.
