Glen Elgin-Glenlivet Information

A single malt distillery found in Fogwatt, Moray, Glen Elgin began life in 1898. It has been making single malt whisky since 1977 but has been contributing to blends for much longer.

The clear wort, long fermentation and slow distillation contribute to its fruity character. The spirit is also known to be weighty too, so it's very distinctive.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Toffee shortbread, cardamom, pecans and white chocolate. Honey, sage and fennel.

Flavour:

Juicy and syrupy, mangoes, passion fruit, peaches in syrup, maraschino cherries, apricots and lots of thick creamy notes.

Finish:

A syrupy fruit bomb with pouring cream and a hint of ginger snap biscuits.
