Heating its stills with direct fire to give the spirit weight is especially useful given Glenfarclas' commitment to maturation in ex-Sherry casks.

This produces a whisky which is rich, resonant and capable of extremely long ageing.

Nose:

Peppermint tea, red apples, hints of tobacco and dry grass

Flavour:

Vanilla, toasted brown bread, hints of old leather and red apples
