Glenrothes-Glenlivet Information

A weighty and complex spirit, Glenrothes whisky is produced on its site in Moray. Time and patience are key for the production, with a long distillation process and a decidedly lengthy maturation (which is arguably necessary due to the spirit style and cask types used).

The single malt is known for combining nuts and fruits with a distinctly sweet spiciness.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Dunnage warehouse floors, damp and earthy. Woodiness.

Flavour:

Mouth coating, nutmeg, Italian biscuits. A good full bodied dram.

Finish:

Aniseed chews, liquorice and freshly polished wood.
