MacDuff Information

Located in the Highland region, Macduff distillery was built in 1960 in response to the post-war whisky boom. It's a seaside distillery, located on the banks of the River Deveron, next to the Moray Firth.

With its classical and functional structure, it produces a spirit most known for being nutty with a gentle, fruity sweetness.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Almonds, praline, damp earth and hints of whole kiwis.

Flavour:

Very herbal, sage, basil and thyme mixing with faint red cherries and slightly medicinal notes.

Finish:

Lingering creamy notes with traces of spice and liquorice and continued medicinal hints.
