Royal Brackla Information

Historically known for its smoky spirit - although that has changed over time - Royal Brackla was founded in 1817 by Captain William Fraser.

This made Fraser deeply unpopular with the moonshiners in the area but his whisky was a great success, gaining a fan in King William IV - the whisky became known by some as "The King's Own Whisky."

These days, the spirit is known for its fresh fruitiness and strong nose.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

crystalised ginger, butter icing, caramel tweel.

Flavour:

Summery! vanilla pods, orange sherbert.

Finish:

caramel continues, banana chips, feint hint of aniseed comes through.
